June 28; Santiago de acompostela

One of those strange days, no where to go all of a sudden, it’s hard to believe another walk is over.

We took the time to walk around the old city in the morning, before all the people came out, then went to the plaza to watch some of the other pilgrims walk in from their own jour ites across Spain. We chatted to a few of them, seems everyone has the same perspective of the walk, and most can’t wait to come back and do another one.

St James the Greater

We took in the noon service and Mary Beth took communion, then we browsed the shops, went back to the same restaurant as yesterday and devoured another steak.

We bought a few new bits of clothing to go home in, as everything we have is trashed.

It was a great walk, every one is different for me, but always a great time, a learning ime, and I go home feeling very chilled and peaceful inside.

Santiago de Compostela Cathedral this morning

I am grateful to have walked with Mary Beth, who was a rockstar, even on the tough days when her feet were not doing well.

I myself am not a religious person, and I don’t walk for religious reasons, but I am a believer in a greater power and live my truths, with respect for everyone, and a propensity not to judge, but to also try and love everyone equally.

We met some lovely like minded people on this journey, and once again, I’ll say “ people of all shapes and sizes, all religions or sexual preferences, people from far away countries and of all different colors, political opposites and young or old, all get along famously with each other , without all the outside interference or judgement”

The Camino for most, is life as it’s supposed to be

I AM GRATEFUL
